Will Save World for Gold

Following are some of the resources that I’ve used in making the comic. I’ve had many requests over the years to share these, so here they finally are. I’ll keep adding more entries here over time.

Backgrounds

The backgrounds are some of the most complex and time-consuming parts of making Will Save World for Gold, and a lot of the details are never fully visible in the comic itself. As I began to realize this, I started making smaller backgrounds when possible rather than the large sprawling areas I started out with, and even some of those larger scenes show a lack of detail off in certain areas. These are posted in more or less the order they were drawn in.

Christmas Comics

For seven out of the ten years of Will Save World for Gold’s run, I drew Christmas-themed bonus comics, six of which were supposed to be funny. None of them are canon, but the last four each “take place” at specific points in the story, so they contain spoilers for the main comic.
